PIERA BERETTA 2020
This pretty little bird (Phylloscopus collybita) is quite common in Switzerland during breeding season. It is often overlooked, but easy to recognise by its distinctive call.
Its onomatopoeic name in different languages is a clue to what to listen out for: chiffchaff (English), Zilpzalp (German), Tjiftjaf (Dutch), tiltaltti (Finnish), čipčavý (Slovak). Can you hear it?
