I accidentally damaged my best lens on Good Friday. Luckily it can be repaired, but Nikon Switzerland have been waiting for over a month now for one of the spares to arrive from Japan, and there is still no way to predict when it might arrive in the current situation.
I have been missing my lens desperately over the past few weeks during which I had to make do with a third of the focal length to document my beaver sightings.
It became too much for me yesterday and I finally decided to hire a replacement lens for the weekend, which has enabled me to capture this intimate portrait of the female European beaver (Castor fiber) grooming herself while keeping a respectful distance.
